MAKING A HANGABLE LED LAMP USING A BUSINESS CARD.
Step 1. Assemble your materials.
You need a business card and small binder clip in addition to the battery, battery holder, LED, and copper tape. |
Step 2. Hot glue the LED to the business card.
You want it in the lower right corner, almost touching the bottom edge and about a centimeter from the right edge. One of the metal pieces inside the LED has two small holes in it; that piece should be to the left.
Step 3. Tape the battery holder to the business card.
The negative (-) terminal should be facing down, almost touching the leg of the LED.
Step 4. Connect the LED and battery holder.
Press a small piece of copper tape over the leg of the battery holder and the LED.
Step 5. Connect tape to the other ends of the battery holder and LED. |
Step 5(b). The back of the business card. The two pieces of tape should come near each other, but not touch. |
Step 6. Place a piece of tape in the upper right corner of the business card.
When the lamp rolls up, this will make a connection between the two pieces on the back of the business card.
Step 7. Roll up the lamp. Insert the battery into the battery holder, roll up the business card (aligning the piece of tape on the front with the two on the back), and clip it in place. |
